1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') constitute a legally binding agreement between you ('Customer', 'you', or 'your') and Twin Tring LLP ('Twin Tring', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), governing your access to and use of our website at www.twintring.in and all services offered thereunder.
Twin Tring LLP is a bicycle rental, subscription, and servicing company registered in India, operating from Borivali West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400092. Our services include cycle rentals, monthly and annual subscriptions, bicycle servicing and repairs, home delivery and pickup across Mumbai, bicycle events and selling bicycle accessories and spare parts.
By accessing our website or availing any of our services — whether online, in-store, via WhatsApp, or at any partner location — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using our website or services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The revised Terms will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Services Offered
Twin Tring LLP offers the following services:
• Cycle Rentals: Short-term and long-term rental of bicycles across categories including non-geared, geared, premium, and kids' cycles.
• Cycle Subscriptions: Monthly and annual subscription plans with complimentary maintenance included as per the selected plan.
• Cycle Servicing: Doorstep and in-store bicycle repair, maintenance, and tune-up services for customer-owned cycles.
• Home Delivery & Pickup: Delivery and collection of rented cycles across Mumbai, subject to serviceable zones.
• Cycling Events: Organised group rides and rental services at our partner venues.
• Cycling Accessories: Shop cycling gears, spare parts and accessories though our website and store.
Service availability, pricing, and terms may vary and are subject to change. Current offerings are listed on our website. For specific queries, please contact us directly.
3. Rental and Subscription Terms
3.1 Eligibility
Cycles are rented to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Customers below 18 years may use our cycles only under direct parental or guardian supervision, and a parent or guardian must sign the rental agreement on their behalf.
3.2 KYC
• A valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving Licence) is required at the time of rental confirmation.
• A latest month valid address proof is required under the customer’s name to complete the KYC process (electricity bill, rent agreement, gas bill)
• Twin Tring holds the right to accept or reject the customer’s KYC. A booking is not considered complete until the KYC is completed.
3.3 Security Deposit
• A refundable security deposit is collected prior to the commencement of every rental. The deposit amount varies by cycle category and will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
• The deposit is returned upon the satisfactory return of the cycle, subject to the deductions outlined in Section 3.5
• Security deposits are refunded within 24 hours of receiving the cycle at the store or workshop.
• All security deposit refunds are processed digitally. Cash payments are not made for security deposit refund.
3.4 Customer Responsibilities
• The rented cycle must be used only by the registered customer. Sub-letting, lending, or transferring the cycle to any third party is strictly prohibited.
• The customer must use the cycle responsibly and in accordance with all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
• The customer must inform Twin Tring immediately in the event of any accident, damage, theft, or loss of the cycle.
• The cycle must be returned in the same condition as it was issued, accounting for normal wear and tear.
• Basic day to day maintenance like cleaning, getting puncture repaired, brake tightening, etc are to be taken care of by the customer.
• Cycles must not be used for commercial purposes, competitive riding, stunts, or off-road terrain unless specifically permitted in writing.
3.5 Damage, Loss & Theft
• The customer is fully responsible for the cycle during the entire rental period. Any damage (beyond normal wear and tear), loss, or theft of the cycle will be charged to the customer at the repair or replacement cost as determined by Twin Tring LLP. The security deposit may be fully or partially forfeited in such cases.
• If the damage amount exceeds the security deposit amount, the customer is liable to pay the additional charges.
• In cases of worst case scenarios like theft and accidents where the cycle is not recoverable or damaged beyond repair, the customer will be liable to pay the MRP of the cycle irrespective of how old the cycle is at the moment of such incident.
• Normal wear and tear, including minor tyre wear and brake pad wear arising from regular use, is not treated as customer damage.
3.6 Cycle Recovery
Twin Tring LLP reserves the right to recover possession of the rented cycle at any time if the customer is found to be in breach of these Terms, without prejudice to any other remedies available to us.
3.7 Cycle Exchange
• The customer can exchange the cycle with another model depending on the availability.
• The customer will be liable to pay additional delivery and pickup charges in case of home delivery service being availed.
• Subscription duration of one cycle cannot be transferred to another cycle. The new cycle will start with a fresh duration of 1 month and the prices will be charged accordingly. Also the old cycle will be charged according to the price bracket of the actual duration used before the exchange.
• Cycle exchange is allowed only in subscription duration of more than 1 month.
• Cycle cannot be exchanged before a month of subscription ends until there is a technical issue in the cycle and Twin Tring LLP cannot provide a solution within a reasonable time.
3.8 Pricing and Payments
• Cycle rental and subscriptions are available on monthly and annual plans as listed on our website.
• Subscription fees are payable in advance at the start of each billing cycle.
• Annual subscriptions include 3 free maintenance as specified at the time of subscription. This is subject to fair use and does not cover accidental damage or misuse.
• Twin Tring LLP reserves the right to modify subscription plans, pricing, or included benefits anytime.
• In case of late payment, a late fees is charged at Rs.50/day
• In case of additional days used beyond the subscription end date, an additional payment of Rs.80- Rs.350/day is charged depending on the cycle segment and category.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation and Refund Policy for Subscriptions
Before the cycle is delivered/collected
• ₹1,000 is non-refundable in case of cancellation before the cycle is delivered/collected.
After the cycle is delivered/collected
• Cancellations are not accepted on the basis of size, colour, or personal preference. Please check these details before booking.
• Refunds are not issued for any unused portion of the subscription period, except as outlined under the Early Return Policy below.
• 1 month is the minimum subscription duration. For subscriptions of 1 month, no early return or cancellation is possible once the cycle is delivered/collected.
4.2 Early Return Policy (for subscriptions longer than 1 month)
• Cancellation Charge: If you wish to return the cycle before your subscription period ends, a cancellation charge of ₹1,000 will apply. (This compensates for other bookings we may have had to turn down while the cycle was reserved for your longer-duration plan.)
• Revised Pricing for Actual Duration: Your subscription fee will be recalculated based on the price bracket applicable to the actual duration you used the cycle (e.g., if you booked a 6-month plan but return after 2 months, you will be charged at the 2-month/short-term rate, not the discounted 6-month rate). Any difference between what you paid and the recalculated amount will be deducted from your refund — and if the recalculated amount exceeds what you paid, the difference will be payable by you.
4.3 Servicing Appointments
• In case of workshop services Rs.500 paid during booking will be non refundable in case of service cancellation. Also the customer will be liable to pay delivery and pickup charges on actuals.
• In case of doorstep service, Rs.500 paid during booking will be non refundable in case of service cancellation before 2 hours of the service time aloted. Cancellations made after this window may incur a convenience fee for doorstep visits.
5. Cycle Servicing Terms
The following terms apply when you bring your own cycle to Twin Tring LLP for servicing or repair:
• Twin Tring LLP will service customer-owned bicycles with due care and professional diligence. However, we are not liable for any pre-existing damage, faults, or defects that were present in the cycle before it was handed over for servicing.
• We are not liable for issues arising after our service is completed and the cycle is received by you.
• The customer is advised to test ride and check the bicycle on collecting or receiving the cycle.
• Twin Tring LLP will not be liable for any issues occurring after the service is completed and the technician has left in doorstep services. Customers are advised to check the cycle and get the issue resolved when the technician is still at their place.
• Visiting or pickup and drop charges shall apply in case such service is provided again.
• In case of any technical fault or negligence from Twin Tring LLP during the service, Twin Tring LLP will try its best to provide the customer with a solution within a reasonable time.
• A service estimate will be provided before work begins. If additional issues are discovered during servicing that require further work, we will seek your approval before proceeding with the additional repairs.
• Turnaround times provided are estimates and may vary based on parts availability, service complexity, and current workload.
• Cycles left uncollected for more than 30 days after service completion will be subject to storage charges as communicated to the customer.
• Twin Tring LLP is not responsible for the loss of any personal accessories or attachments (such as lights, bags, or computers) left on the cycle at the time of servicing, unless specifically noted in the service record.
6. Delivery & Pickup Terms
• Home delivery and pickup services are available across Mumbai, subject to currently serviceable zones. Zone availability is confirmed at the time of booking.
• Home delivery and pickup charges vary for different locations and will be charged as mentioned at the time of booking.
• Home delivery and pickup charges may be changed anytime.
• Delivery and pickup slots are scheduled and confirmed via WhatsApp or phone call. Please ensure that someone is available at the confirmed address and time to receive or hand over the cycle.
• Twin Tring LLP is not liable for delays caused by traffic congestion, weather conditions, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• Missed or failed deliveries due to the customer's unavailability may be rescheduled subject to slot availability and may incur an additional delivery charge.
• The customer must inspect the cycle at the time of delivery and notify our delivery person of any visible concerns before accepting the delivery.
7. Safety & Liability
7.1 Inherent Risks
Cycling involves inherent physical risks including the possibility of accidents, falls, and injuries. By renting a cycle from Twin Tring LLP or participating in any cycling event organised by us, you expressly acknowledge these risks and agree to take full personal responsibility for your safety.
7.2 Safety Gear
Helmets and appropriate safety gear are strongly recommended at all times while riding. Twin Tring LLP may make basic safety gear available with your subscription, but is not responsible for injury or harm if you choose not to use such gear.
7.3 Limitation of Liability
Twin Tring LLP shall not be liable for any personal injury, accident, or property damage arising from the use of rented cycles, except where such harm is directly and proven to have been caused by a structural defect in the cycle that Twin Tring LLP was made aware of and failed to address in a reasonable time.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable Indian law, Twin Tring LLP's total liability in connection with any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
7.4 Customer Undertaking
By availing our services, you confirm that you are physically fit and capable of riding a bicycle and that you will adhere to all applicable traffic laws, road rules, and the specific rules of any venue at which you are using our cycles.
8. Partner Venue Terms
Twin Tring LLP operates cycle rental services at partner venues as well as any other locations we may partner with in the future. The following additional terms apply at all partner locations:
• Cycles issued at a partner location must be returned to the same location at the end of the rental period, unless a prior written arrangement has been made.
• Customers must comply with the specific rules and guidelines of the partner venue at all times in addition to these Terms.
• Twin Tring LLP reserves the right to restrict access to partner location rental services based on capacity, venue guidelines, or seasonal availability.
• Neither Twin Tring LLP nor the partner venue shall be liable for incidents arising from the customer's failure to follow venue-specific rules or safety instructions.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
The Twin Tring LLP name, logo, website content, product descriptions, photographs, and all other materials on our website are the proprietary property of Twin Tring LLP and are protected under applicable Indian intellectual property laws. No part of our website or its content may be copied, reproduced, republished, or commercially exploited without our express prior written permission.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
10. Prohibited Activities
When using our website or services, you agree not to:
• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information to Twin Tring LLP.
• Use our services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian law or regulation.
• Attempt to circumvent or interfere with our website's security features.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape our website.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
• Use our services to compete with us or to reverse-engineer our business model.
• Post or transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content in any communication with us.
11. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your personal information. Our Privacy Policy, available at www.twintring.in/privacy-policy, explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data. By using our website and services, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Customer data collected through our website and service interactions is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your bookings, communicating with you, and improving our services.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or Twin Tring LLP's services.
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Informal Resolution
In the event of any dispute, claim, or grievance arising from these Terms or our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through direct communication. Customers may raise concerns by contacting us at hello@twintring.in or calling +91 98207 60684. We will make best efforts to respond and resolve the matter within 15 business days.
13.2 Arbitration
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of written notice, it shall be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The seat of arbitration shall be Mumbai, Maharashtra. Proceedings shall be conducted in English. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on both parties.
13.3 Exceptions
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or interim relief from a competent court in Mumbai to prevent irreparable harm or to protect intellectual property rights.
14. Modifications & Service Interruptions
Twin Tring LLP reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services or website at any time, with or without prior notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience, loss, or damage arising from such modifications or interruptions.
We make reasonable efforts to keep our website available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled or emergency maintenance may temporarily affect availability.
15. Electronic Communications
By providing your phone number or email address to Twin Tring LLP, you consent to receive communications from us via WhatsApp, SMS, email, or phone call for the purpose of booking confirmations, service updates, payment receipts, and promotional messages. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by contacting us.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Twin Tring LLP with respect to your use of our website and services.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right.
Twin Tring LLP may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
These Terms do not create any joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship between you and Twin Tring LLP.
